Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Lens Overview
The renowned AF-S NIKKOR 14–24mm f/2.8G ED delivers exceptional sharpness and coverage.
This lens was the first of its kind when it launched, and it’s still out front today.
Exceptional lens. Exceptional images.
Truly in a class of its own, this ultra-wide-angle lens delivers incredible sharpness, contrast and colour—whether you shoot stills or movies.
With its ultra-wide 14–24mm zoom range and constant f/2.8 maximum aperture, this lens delivers unrivalled performance. It’s the lens of choice for many pros shooting events, landscapes, architecture, interiors, and even close-up portraits. You can expect consistently exceptional results even when you shoot with available light.
Unrivalled performance
Benefit from crisp resolution and edge-to-edge sharpness that can surpass that of equivalent ultra-wide fixed-focal-length lenses.
Distortion is remarkably well controlled for such an extreme-wide-angle zoom lens. Two ED glass elements and three aspherical lens elements virtually eliminate coma and other types of aberration—even when shooting wide-open. Nikon’s Nano Crystal Coat minimises ghosting and flare, even in backlit situations.
Stunning control
Phenomenal accuracy and fast focusing. It’s everything you’d expect and more.
Nikon’s exclusive Silent Wave Motor and Internal Focusing technologies enable accurate, high-speed autofocusing and super-quiet operation. The M/A focus mode switch lets you control manual-focus override simply by turning the focus ring.
Built to stand the test of time
The rugged construction and professional-grade dust- and moisture resistance withstand even the most trying conditions.
This is a tough lens with a metal mount. Rubber sealing protects against dust and moisture. A built-in lens hood protects the front convex element of the lens.
